As a youth, I followed my passion for animals, volunteered at humane societies, and interned at wildlife care centers and veterinary clinics. I went on to further my animal studies in college. I have a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis. I also studied Veterinary Technology at Carrington College and worked as a Veterinary Assistant for a couple of years in California, and even for a summer in Hawaii. After starting a family and then becoming a single mom, I became an Agriculture Science High School Teacher with an emphasis on small/ large animal clinics with local veterinarians on the Navajo Reservation. More recently, I have moved back home to Flagstaff, started a mobile cat grooming business, Flags Fancy Felines LLC. I am ecstatic to have begun this journey and invite you to join me.
I have fancy cats at home: Killian and Simba. Killian is an orange domestic shorthair with vibrant shades of red and orange. Killian loves snacks, watching birds from the big glass window of our patio, and always has something to say, especially if you sit down with a plate of food. Simba is a grey main coon mix with striking eye patterns and silky long fur. Simba loves cuddles and will not tolerate not being petted if you sit nearby. Both have jobs as ESAs and do a magnificent job. They bring so much flair, love, and character to our lives. I have had many fancy felines, starting when I was 7 years old. Starting with my childhood best friend Pearl (I just wanted to honor her for a moment). I cannot imagine a life without a cat companion and know how important they are to many lives.
